My digital scrapbooked story – Whatcom Falls Park

If you’ve been checking out my blog, you’ll know that I’m passionate about travel, people, sights and experiences – and the importance of recording all of those memories.  I create the pages for my albums using various forms of digital scrapbooking – as I usually have a ton of photos I want to include, I find this the best form of getting lots of photos on a page, and writing that story.

Printed digital scrapbooking pages

Once I’ve created my pages in the Artisan software, I then print the digital pages as a full 12×12 photo and slide these into a ‘traditional’ photo album.

You may have read my blog post about my visit to Whatcom Falls – here is the story that I’ve preserved for my own posterity.

Whatcom Falls Park – the digital products I’ve used;

There is so much to love about recording your memories digitally like this.  I guess my version is a little bit of a hybrid, because I print these pages as physical photos (thanks Persnickety Prints) and then pop them into a ‘traditional’ photo album.  Why?  Because in my view, NOTHING beats the quality and longevity of a traditionally printed photo.

I use Forever’s Artisan software to create the pages in.  I’ve been using this for years and just love the total functionality I have with it, even though I’m using it quite simply.

On these pages I’ve added a couple of accents from Ali Edwards – I can’t get enough of her style, and her beautiful handwriting.  I use it all ‘sparingly’, but I find it just adds that finishing touch to a page.

Et voila!  Two simple but stunning pages, and a lovely day out preserved to share and re-live.  This is so easy to do – I hope it inspires you to document your own stories – big and little moments. 🙂
