Cookie in a jar gifts and recipes

Take one mason jar, layer in a few basic baking ingredients, handwrite a recipe card, and you have a thoughtful, unique, home made gift. You can choose from a variety of cookie in a jar types, so it really is a perfect gift for everyone. I mean, who doesn’t like cookies?!!

If you’re needing a gift for someone who is hard to buy for, or who has everything, this is it. I also use them as teacher gifts, to pop on my neighbors doorstep as a welcome to the neighborhood, and in my ‘grown’ kids Christmas stockings. And – if you have friends who have a holiday home, it’s perfect for them to take away with them. Are you getting the picture? These cookie in a jar gifts are really a perfect gift for just about anyone.

I’ve made three different types of cookies, so you have a good range of cookie types. The gingerbread men are obviously perfect for Christmas, and be made more gifty with a cookie cutter tied to it.

White Chocolate, Cranberry & Oat Cookies in a jar

The White Chocolate, Cranberry and Oat cookies also have a holiday feel, but I personally make these year round, as they’re just YUM!

Brownies – cookie in a jar gift

And brownies – well – anytime is a good time for brownies right! These ones are super yummy as they have marshmallows that melt a wee bit in the recipe as they bake.

When you’re gifting them, you also have the option of gifting just the jar, or making a batch of the cookies to go with them. That way the recipient will know exactly how good they are.

These recipes have all been chosen as they’re also one pot recipes. That means that the recipient can make the jar up in a pot or bowl – achievable for everyone!

If you click on the links with the cookie name above, you’ll find the recipes, along with free printable recipe tags.

I hope you make creating and gifting these unique gifts as much as I do.
