A weekend escape in Victoria BC | see how digital scrapbooking transforms the photos
If you’re thinking about heading to Victoria BC – stop thinking, and make it a real plan. It’s a gorgeous wee city, and makes the perfect weekend escape destination.
The fisherman and I spent a long weekend there in September 2019. Although the weather wasn’t great, we still had an awesome time, which is a true testament to how good Victoria is to visit.
To create your own fabulous weekend there, check out this full guide to Victoria.
In the meantime, if you’re a ‘crafty’ girl, I thought you might like to see how I created my story of our weekend there for our album.

This was created in Forever’s Artisan software. It’s software I’ve used for years, and love creating in it. I use it for so many different things, not just scrapbooking. That’s one of the great things about it – you’re not tied to printing through the company.

Of course, I had to write about the food! We really did eat our way around Victoria.

The Bard and Banker was such a delight. We lucked in and met the owner’s son, who shared lots of the history of the pub with us. Isn’t it great that pages like this allow us to tell and share that story?! That’s the true difference between a scrapbook and a photo album in my mind.

Ahh, the pickle boats. The cutest form of transport ever!

Alongside the Fairmont Empress, the Parliament Building make such an impressive statement as you arrive into Victoria Harbour.

Of course, we had to visit The Empress, and experience a little of her grandeur, even if we weren’t staying there.
I hope seeing how simply you can preserve your memories, inspires you to do the same. You’ll note, I don’t do anything too fancy, yet the pages really grab you, and involve you in the memories (at least I think they do!)
If you need any assistance to get started doing the same, I’m here to help, just holler.
I have printed these as 12×12 digital photos. In the States Persnickety Prints is the best place to do this. Otherwise check out Happy Moose (and use the code MEMORIES for a 10% discount).
I hope you enjoyed my weekend, and get to experience it all for yourself someday.
